Amelia, what a great question! It sounds like perhaps the publicity of your events needs to clearly communicate the purpose of the event or activity. Our teams should be encouraging women to know Christ and become like Him – biblical womanhood is only one piece. There is so much more a women’s ministry could and should offer. I hope that helps!

Ann, you are right! This is a group that is often overlooked. Definitely find a way to provide rides for those who are unable to drive, though I know that will only be the case for a few… We had a group of women at one church I was at that regularly visited our homebound members. Several times a year we would put together baskets with some goodies for them – warm socks, packaged snacks, lotion, etc. and that group delivered them. You could also take the last 15 minutes at an event to write handwritten notes or send encouraging Bible verses. I hope those ideas help! Praying God will raise up a group of women to love on those that may feel forgotten!

Thank you for these meaningful and challenging thoughts. I will be sharing these with our WM board. We have a WM board weekend retreat every year to plan the following years events and this information will be so useful. I love the emphasis you place on prayer and sharing Christ at each event in a winsome way. For us to assume that ladies that even attend church regularly are true believers of our Savior would be a huge assumption.
