My husband and I are starting a new church and we have a few ladies that want to learn more about the word of God. I have never started a women’s ministry group and I have been asking God to guide me in how to start. I came across your website while doing some research on google and it has been so so helpful. I will be purchasing your READ for group resource book I will just need to translate it into spanish since our congregation is a spanish speaking congregation. Thank you for this website it has been a great help for someone like me who is new to started a ministry from scratch. May the Lord continue to guide you and strengthen you so women like me can continue to learn from your gained knowledge and experience.
God Bless!

Allison, that is a good question. How long will your Bible study last? If you have two hours you could spend 30 minutes discussing each chapter (4 chapters read each month). However, it’s not ideal… I would recommend meeting at least every other week, if not weekly. I think you’ll find women enjoy the consistency and accountability meeting more frequently offers. Praying the Lord will give you wisdom and direct your steps!

I’ve launched the Womens Ministry a few weeks ago. This is still unknown ground for me. I’ve started this Ministry out of obedience. I believe Father will carry me through. Your website has helped me to understand the Ministry. I still don’t know all, but i take it step by step. I wish to have bible study with the women, once a month. My question is though, will the bible study you described above also work for a group that only meets once a month? We a church of around 200 members.

Carolyn – so thankful for your comment and for the vision God has given you! Praying the hearts of your women will grow in their desire for God’s Word.

I feel the same way. I get tired of leading book studies. I want my ladies to dig deep so that they know that they know and can stand firm in their belief. Getting them there is the hard part for me. I’m still working on it and it is my ultimate goal for my ladies. My goal is to have a Sunday School class that just dives into God’s word without using study books.

Susan, so glad you are working your way thru the Bible! Yes, it is often hard to understand why God would wipe out an entire town or community. Sometimes it is for our good – to remove obstacles, sin, provide protection, etc. Praying your time in the Word will be fruitful!

I started it and am thoroughly enjoying it even though the battles are a bit much to take. So much killing of towns including the women, children and even animals. Hard to understand what God was thinking. Thanks for so many great tips on your site. Susan
