Ours is different in that a former pastor (C) and his wife are the only ones who know “guess whos voming to dinner” . We also have couples attend. Someone will tell “C” they will host, (always a couple) and plan the menu.The host cooks the main dish. Then C will make a few phone calls, tell people whats on the menu, they choose what they want to bring and show up at the hosts door! The host/hostess does not know who is coming until they show up. We eat and play games after. We have found not playing an organized game of some sort, people tend to sit in groups and talk. Playing games together draws us closer than sitting in groups. I have hosted as many as 12 people as few as 6. Always fun and I love being hostess.
