Our small church started a ladies fellowship group in January of this year where we could just get together, relax, eat finger foods, and laugh together. We have invited the ladies from another small church to join us each time, and invited 2 other small churches to our next meeting. We named it Sneakers and Snacks and meet once a quarter. We have laughed together watching a comedy dvd each time and the ladies love it! I’ll be checking out the list of comedians you listed for future meetings. Thanks, I’m so glad that I found your website earlier this week, you have a multitude of helpful info.

Must you pay a fee to show a DVD to a crowd…even if you are not charging admission? If so, how do you go about it?

Debbie – Love the “Laugh Your Socks Off” idea! Thanks so much for sharing! You could use one of the Left Right Games on the site to distribute the socks, too! You could even use it as a service project to collect socks (maybe bring one to give, one to donate) for a local ministry.

Our church facilitates a similar event entitled “Laugh Your Socks Off”. We feature a comedy DVD and a sock exchange where each lady brings a wrapped pair of socks. We play rob your neighbor and everyone goes home with a new pair of socks!

Great idea! We have done a similar thing and called it a Ladies Night of Laughter, and another church I know called theirs A Night With Chocolate and served a chocolate bar!
