Great questions. I’ll try to answer each one.
Most Christian comedians I know can only be found where they market themselves. There is a network called The Christian Comedy Association. The CCA consists of 2,089 who are members on our private Facebook group. A great majority of these don’t perform anywhere with regularity, and are there out of curiosity, or to learn. Most in this group who do perform, do so at open mics and have a 3-5 minute set they are working to perfect. Less than one hundred of us, are actual dues paying members, which brings with it a higher level of accountability, professionalism and a declaration and lifestyle of faith. I have been a member of the CCA for six years; and yes, I am a dues-paying member. Four years ago, I went full-time as a comedian/speaker. The association is not a search engine. So most people find us by searching the web, as you did. After I read your comments about your search results, I had about ten others, in and out of our association, conduct the same search for “female Christian Comedian”. Every one of them said my website appeared on the second page of the search results. I have to admit, I’m pretty excited about that, as those on the first page have been at this a lot longer than I have. I’m not sure why it’s not coming up on your end, especially when “female Christian Comedian” is my main SEO term. I hope that gives you a better understanding of our association, and how we network. We’ve actually been discussing this and are really interested in trying! My question is this: how do we find comedians to check out? For example, Peppi, when I did a google search for “female Christian comedian,” your name didn’t show up. (you might want to fix that 😉 ) What are the SEO terms on your website? Do y’all network? Is there a place to find y’all online?

Have you or anyone else used another Christian comedian’s videos for a women’s event? Sounds like that could be fun too.
