At the beginning of each session I have facilitated (before I retired), I introduced ELMO. Enough Let’s Move On.
I am not sure if the Facilitation Technique: E.L.M.O. is appropriate for non business but feel comfortable using with my small church group.
Just an idea and hope it helps.

We have a lady who tells the same stories over and over. Every sentence starts with, “When we lived in……. I feel sorry for her but the stories do get old. Thanks for these tips!
