I would like to address #7 in the above list… and, btw, is very apropos to what we are studying presently in our women’s bible study. Emotions! 🙂

David in scripture expressed his emotions… was real with how he felt… and yet God called him a man after His own heart.

Emotions are not to be the steering wheel but they are to be listened to just as the lights that come on on the dash board of our car. If those lights were not heeded it would affect the internal workings of the car. If you’re feeling afraid or sad or angry it means there is something going on inside or underneath the emotion that needs to be looked at.

The sin is not the feelings… it could be what is going on underneath that is causing the “light” to come on. – unmet expectations, hurt (another deeper light), selfishness, jealousy, or any number of things.

We are going through “The Emotionally Healthy Woman ” by (pastors wife) Geri Scazzero. Wonderful, biblically sound, enlightening book/bible study.

You’re welcome Deborah! Excited for the blank slate you have! That is much easier than trying to fix things and change them after the fact. Praying for you all to have a strong start!

This reminder touched on the issues I am facing in starting a women’s ministry at my church.
