I will be asking a younger woman in our church to be a social media coordinator. She is so much more knowledgeable than me, and I want to encourage her to use her gifts. Also, I hope it will encourage other younger women to become more involved.

We determined a content schedule and then used the calendar in FB group to organize. We also alternated weeks between the 2 of us so we could share the work.

Develop a plan. Determine what items you post where and how often (start slow). Have a theme. For instance every Monday you post a scripture that highlights an attribute of God. When leading a Bible Study post a thumb nail (most authors have these) regularly through out the study. Schedule 2-4 weeks at a time

There are two of us that share that responsibility of social media coordinator. It has really worked out well for us. We have about 17 in our closed bible study group.

I was hesitant to add a social media presence for our women’s ministry but I have found that the 2 most important things are monitoring and research. Have a team of about 3 ladies to take turns monitoring the comments and then have a couple ladies help to research articles or stories before you post anything. It’s really helpful to have a few trusted sources for information to post and share.
